JLPT N5 Grammar lesson 7. Hi everyone! In this article, Learn Japanese daily will introduce to you the JLPT N5 Grammar. Each lesson will consist of about 5 structures for you to learn step by step and have more time to practise.

Grammar structure 31 :
~なくちゃいけない
Formation :
Vない (minus い)+ なくちゃいけない
Explanation :
Must.
Examples and examples’ meaning :
1.8時(はちじ)前(まえ)に学校(がっこう)にいなくちゃいけない。
I must be present at school before 8 am.
2.明日(あした)前(まえ)にレポートを出(だ)さなくちゃいけない
I must submit the report by tomorrow.
Grammar structure 32 :
~なくてもいいです
Formation :
Vない (minus ない)+ なくてもいいです
Explanation :
It’s fine to not do something.
Used to state that someone doesn’t have to do something.
Examples and examples’ meaning :
1.食(た)べなくてもいいです。
It’s fine to not eat.
2.行(い)かなくてもいいです。
It’s fine to not go.
Grammar structure 33 :
~なければなりません
Formation :
Vない (minus い)+ なければなりません
Explanation :
To have to do something….
Examples and examples’ meaning :
1.毎日(まいにち)勉強(べんきょう)しなければまりません。
Every day, I have to go to school.
2.いつも朝(あさ)早(はや)く起(お)きなければなりません。
Every morning, I have to wake up early.
Grammar structure 34 :
~に/へ~
Formation :
~N + に/へ~
Explanation :
Used to show directions, places, time.
Examples and examples’ meaning :
1.日本(にほん)へ来(き)た。
I have been to Japan.
2.明日(あした)7時(しちじ)に会議(かいぎ)が始(はじ)まる
Tomorrow, the meeting will start at 7 am.
Grammar structure 35 :
~に~
Formation :
~N+ に~
Explanation :
At, at the time of
Examples and examples’ meaning :
1.10時(じゅうじ)に寝(ね)る。
I sleep at 10 pm.
2.来週(らいしゅう)にテストがある。
I have an exam next week.

some transaltion are missing in the examples (i.e. example of grammar structure 6),
and some other are WRONG (example of grammar structure 9: 行きます = I go (usually) and not I went).

A list of little grammar structures is indeed very helpful to study o/
Just in the phrase 木の下に猫がいった, i think it translates to “There ‘was’ a cat under the tree”

Just a little thing, in the grammar structure 1, example 2
先生 の 英語 あもりがわからない
Sensei no eigo a mori ga wakaranai means “i don’t understand the english teacher”
